Therapeutic Thai Bodywork Clinic

Thai Traditional Massage

Thai traditional massage is a unique style of bodywork from Thailand. Thai massage is a combination of yoga like stretches, focused meridian work and direct point pressure which gives the receiver an invigorating experience. The stretching movements affect the entire body increasing flexibility, range of motion, release of soft tissue tension and assist the body’s natural energy to flow smoothly. Thai massage has been developed by the Thai people beginning roughly 2500 years ago based on influences from India, China and their own indigenous practices. The result is an amazing technique for improving or maintaining your health that is safe, effective and uniquely Thai! To get the full benefit of Thai massage 90 minute full body treatment is recommended but 45 minute treatment for a problem area or even just feet and legs will have a great effect for your well-being.

Deep Tissue Oil Massage

Deep tissue massage targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the body’s surface. Traditional herbal oils are combined with slower and deeper pressure massage techniques concentrated on areas of pain. When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, bands of painful rigid tissue can form in muscles, tendons and ligaments. These ‘adhesions’ are responsible for blocking circulation, causing pain and limited movement. Our skilled therapists break down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement. This therapeutic massage is especially helpful for areas of chronic tension such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Unlike classic massage therapy, which focuses on relaxation, deep tissue massage is focused on addressing specific issues such as chronic pain, limited mobility, recovery from injuries, repetitive strain, osteoarthritis pain, fibromyalgia, and muscle spasms.

Thai Foot Massage Reflexology

Hand and Foot Reflexology can relieve symptoms due to prolonged and over use of hands, such as writing, typing, texting, carrying heavy load or sporting activities like tennis, golf, rock climbing and weight training. Improves circulation and overall ease of muscle tension. The Foot is an important part of the body and serves as a hub of nerve endings. Stimulation of reflex points on the foot improves circulation, relieves leg muscle tension and restores balance to the whole body naturally.
